Tirzah was Baasha’s royal capital, where his son Elah was assassinated and Zimri briefly ruled; Gibbethon was the Philistine town near which Omri’s army proclaimed him king. Bethel, Jericho, and Samaria are not mentioned in 1 Kings 16:14 itself, though Samaria later became Omri’s capital.
