Ramathaim-zophim was Elkanah’s home in the hill country of Ephraim, probably in the central highlands of Israel. Shiloh, where the tabernacle and ark were located during this period, was the national worship center to which Elkanah’s family traveled to sacrifice, setting the scene for Hannah’s prayer.
