Ramathaim-zophim was the hill-country home of Elkanah and Hannah in Ephraim, where Samuel was born after Hannah’s prayer. Shiloh, likely north of Bethel in central Israel, housed the tabernacle; Hannah’s vow there explains why Samuel would later be dedicated to the Lord’s service.
