Ramathaim-zophim was Elkanah’s home in the Ephraimite hill country, from which his family traveled for worship. Shiloh, likely north of Bethel in central Israel, housed the tabernacle and was the appointed sanctuary where Elkanah offered sacrifices and Hannah’s distress unfolded before the Lord.
