Ramathaim-zophim was Hannah and Elkanah’s hometown in the hill country of Ephraim, from which they traveled to worship. Shiloh, in central Israel, housed the tabernacle and served as Israel’s principal sanctuary; there Hannah prayed after the family’s sacrificial meal.
