Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came on the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

Naioth was likely a dwelling or prophetic community near Ramah, where Samuel was overseeing a group of prophets and David had sought refuge from Saul. Secu was a location near Ramah on Saul’s route there, marking his continued pursuit before God’s Spirit disrupted his agents’ mission.
