Gibeah was Saul’s home base in Benjamin, while Ziph and its wilderness lay in the Judean hill country south of Hebron, near the desolate Jeshimon. These locations show Saul pursuing David beyond his own territory, as David remains a fugitive despite being God’s anointed king.
