Lebanon and Tyre supplied Solomon with famed cedar and cypress timber, while Tyre’s craftsmen floated the logs across the Great Sea (the Mediterranean) to Joppa, Judah’s port. From Joppa they were transported uphill to Jerusalem for building the temple.
