Baal-hazor, likely in the hill country of Ephraim north of Jerusalem, was the site of Absalom’s sheep-shearing feast, where he arranged Amnon’s murder. Jerusalem was David’s royal center, while Geshur, northeast of Israel, was the Aramean kingdom to which Absalom fled afterward.
