Asia, Mysia, and Bithynia were regions of Roman Asia Minor; Paul and his companions were traveling through Mysia toward Bithynia when the Spirit of Jesus prevented that course. They instead went to Troas, from which the mission soon crossed into Macedonia, advancing the gospel into Europe.
