Paul traveled through Amphipolis and Apollonia, Macedonian stops on the Roman road, to Thessalonica and Berea before arriving in Athens. In Athens, at the Areopagus, a civic and religious meeting place, he addressed its pagan thinkers by proclaiming the one Creator God and the risen Christ.
