Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them.

Jerusalem was the setting for Pentecost, while the other places—regions and cities across the Roman world, from Mesopotamia and Asia Minor to North Africa and Rome—represent the homelands of Jewish pilgrims present
