Egypt was the land of Israel’s slavery, from which the LORD redeemed them; Mount Horeb, another name for Sinai in the Sinai wilderness, was where God gave Israel his covenant law. Deuteronomy 5:33 calls the redeemed people to walk in that revealed way so they may live faithfully in the land God gives them.
