Exodus 12:18

Bible Text

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.

Egypt was the land where Israel had lived under Pharaoh’s oppression, and Exodus 12 gives God’s instructions for their deliverance at Passover. Rameses, likely the district or city from which Israel began their departure, marks the setting in which the Feast of Unleavened Bread was to be observed.
