Moab and Ammon were neighboring Transjordan kingdoms east of Judah; Baal-meon and Beth-jeshimoth marked Moab’s northern frontier, while Rabbah was Ammon’s chief city. Ezekiel announces that the Lord will expose these lands to eastern invaders because Moab and Ammon treated Judah as no different from the surrounding nations.
