Jeremiah 19:13

and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, which are defiled, shall be as the place of Topheth, even all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of the sky, and have poured out drink-offerings to other gods.

Jeremiah proclaimed judgment near Jerusalem’s Potsherd Gate, at the entrance to the Valley of Hinnom, where Topheth had become notorious for idolatry and child sacrifice. The city’s rooftops shared this defilement through incense to heavenly bodies, so the coming ruin would encompass Jerusalem itself.
