Jeremiah 19:14

Bible Text

Then came Jeremiah from Topheth, where Yahweh had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of Yahweh's house, and said to all the people:

Jeremiah returned to Jerusalem from Topheth in the Valley of Hinnom, just south of the city, where he had enacted God’s judgment sign by breaking a clay jar near the Potsherd Gate. These places recalled Judah’s idolatrous child sacrifice and underscored the coming destruction of Jerusalem.
