Jeremiah 29:10

Bible Text

For thus says Yahweh, After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

Babylon was the Mesopotamian empire and city to which Judah’s people had been exiled after Jerusalem’s fall. Jerusalem was Judah’s covenant capital and the place God promised they would return to after the appointed seventy years, underscoring his sovereign faithfulness.
