Capernaum, on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, was a principal center of Jesus’ Galilean ministry. Tiberias, a city on the lake’s western shore, supplied boats that enabled the crowd to cross after Jesus fed them, underscoring their continued pursuit of him.
