Siloam was a pool in Jerusalem, likely fed by the Gihon Spring through Hezekiah’s tunnel. Earlier in this episode Jesus sent the blind man there to wash, and his restored sight became the evidence that provoked the Pharisees’ hostile questioning in verses 28–29.
