Zorah was a town in the Shephelah near the Judah-Dan border, identified as the home of Manoah’s Danite family. Mahaneh-dan, “the camp of Dan,” lay nearby between Zorah and Eshtaol; it later marked the place where the Spirit began stirring Samson.
