Timnah was the Philistine town connected with Samson’s marriage, while Etam was the Judean refuge from which he confronted those pursuing him. Ramath-lehi (“Jawbone Hill”) commemorated his victory there, and En-hakkore (“Spring of the Caller”) marked God’s provision of water after Samson cried out in distress.
