Bethsaida was a fishing village on the northeastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus withdrew with the apostles after their mission. Galilee was Jesus’ main ministry region, while Jerusalem, though not named in Luke 9:10 itself, stands in contrast as the city toward which his ministry would ultimately move.
