Bethsaida was a fishing town on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, toward which Jesus sent the disciples; Galilee was the wider northern region containing that lake. Gennesaret, where they later landed, lay on its western shore, while Nazareth was Jesus’ hometown inland in Galilee and frames the preceding ministry context
