Chorazin and Capernaum were Jewish towns in Galilee near the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed many mighty works; Tyre and Sidon were prominent Gentile Phoenician cities on the Mediterranean coast. Jesus contrasts their differing responses to revelation, warning that Galilean towns rejecting greater light face greater judgment.
