What does the Bible say about access to god?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that sinners gain gracious access to God only through Jesus Christ, who brings near those once separated by sin. Jesus is the door for his sheep and the only way to the Father, as John 10:7-9 and John 14:6 proclaim. By his blood, believers who were far off are brought near, and through faith they have peace with God and access into grace (Ephesians 2:13; Romans 5:2). Christ's once-for-all sacrifice gives confidence to draw near to God, while his ongoing intercession saves completely those who come through him (Hebrews 10:19; Hebrews 7:25). This access is a gift of God's sovereign mercy, received by faith, leading his people to joyful fellowship and bold prayer.
