What does the Bible say about asking for help?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that God welcomes His people to ask Him for help, trusting His fatherly care and submitting their requests to His wise will. Jesus invites His disciples to ask, seek, and knock, and to pray in His name, that the Father may be glorified through the Son (Matthew 7:7; John 14:13-14). Our help ultimately comes from the Lord, the Maker and faithful keeper of heaven and earth (Psalms 121:1-8). Christ calls the weary to come to Him for rest (Matthew 11:28), and God strengthens His people in fear and weakness (Isaiah 41:10). We ask boldly, yet humbly, knowing that God gives what is truly good according to His purpose.
