What does the Bible say about cultural difference?

The Bible teaches that cultural differences reflect God’s wise creation of diverse peoples, yet all people share equal need of salvation and equal standing in Christ through faith. Acts 17:26 says God made every nation, and Revelation 7:9-10 portrays redeemed worshipers from every people united before the Lamb. Galatians 3:28 teaches that ethnic, social, and gender distinctions do not divide those who belong to Christ. Christians should not conform uncritically to any culture, but be transformed by God’s Word (Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 3:16). Like Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:20, believers may adapt graciously to serve others, while remaining faithful to the one gospel and the exclusive lordship of Christ (John 14:6).
