What does the Bible say about drunkard?

The Bible condemns drunkenness as sinful self-indulgence that clouds judgment, dishonors God, harms others, and calls for repentance and self-control. Deuteronomy 21:20-21 portrays persistent drunkenness among the serious marks of rebellious, covenant-breaking conduct. Proverbs 23:21 warns that drunkards come to poverty, while Isaiah 28:1 and 28:3 expose the shame and coming downfall of those ruled by drink.
