What does the Bible say about escape?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that no sinner can escape God’s holy judgment by hiding, denying guilt, or trusting in self, but God provides true deliverance through Jesus Christ. Adam and Eve tried to hide after sinning, and Cain could not conceal his bloodguilt from the Lord (Genesis 3:7-11; 4:9-11). God sees every path, and no darkness can hide anyone from him (Job 34:21-22). The prophets and apostles warn that the day of judgment will expose all false security (Isaiah 10:3; Romans 2:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3). Yet Christ’s greater word brings salvation to those who repent and believe, while neglecting it leaves no escape (Hebrews 2:2).
