What does the Bible say about father of all lies?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that Satan is the father of lies, the deceiver who opposes God’s truth and seeks to lead people into sin and death. In John 8:44, Jesus says the devil has been a murderer and liar from the beginning, speaking from his own corrupt nature. Revelation 12:9 identifies him as the deceiver of the whole world, and 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns that he can disguise himself as an angel of light. Yet Christ is the true and final answer to deception, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). God calls His people to reject falsehood, trust His Word, and find refuge in Christ, who will finally judge all evil and uphold truth (Revelation 21:8).
