What does the Bible say about fruits?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible presents fruit as God’s good provision, a sign of His blessing, and a reminder that all fruitful labor depends on His sovereign care. From the beginning, God gave plants and fruit-bearing trees for food in Genesis 1:29, while Genesis 4:3 records fruit offered to the Lord in worship. Psalm 107:37 and Psalm 85:12 praise God for causing the earth to yield abundantly, and Acts 14:17 says He gives rain, fruitful seasons, food, and gladness. Yet fruitfulness is not automatic or ultimate in itself: Jeremiah 7:20 warns of God’s judgment upon unfaithfulness, while Malachi 3:11 shows His power to protect His people’s harvest. Believers therefore receive earthly blessings with gratitude and seek lives that bear fruit for God’s glory.
