What does the Bible say about god made us?

The Bible teaches that God intentionally made every person in his image, for his glory and according to his wise purpose. Genesis 1:26-27 declares humanity uniquely created to reflect and represent God, while Psalm 139:13-14 praises him as the careful maker of each life in the womb. All things were created through and for Christ, Colossians 1:16 teaches, so our lives belong to him rather than ourselves. God knows his people personally and purposefully, as Jeremiah 1:5 shows, and gives breath by his Spirit (Job 33:4). Though human sin has marred God’s image, believers are God’s workmanship, created anew in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10).
