The Bible teaches that male leadership in the home and church is a calling to humble, accountable, Christlike service, not domination or privilege. From creation, God made man and woman equal in dignity and complementary in calling, with marriage ordered toward covenant partnership (Genesis 2:18). Ephesians 5:21-33 presents the husband’s headship after the pattern of Christ, who loves, serves, and gives himself for his bride, while all believers practice mutual submission.
