What does the Bible say about pleasing god rather than people?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that believers are to seek God’s approval above human praise, trusting and obeying Him even when people disapprove. Paul asks in Galatians 1:10 whether he is seeking to please man or God, and 1 Thessalonians 2:4 says God tests the heart. Fear of people is a snare, but trust in the Lord brings safety (Proverbs 29:25). Jesus warns against loving human glory more than God’s glory (John 12:43; John 5:44). Therefore Christians offer themselves to God in renewed-minded worship (Romans 12:1-2), work wholeheartedly for Him (Colossians 3:23), and obey God rather than men when the two conflict (Acts 5:29).
