What does the Bible say about success?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that true success is not self-made prosperity or status, but faithfully trusting, obeying, and glorifying God in the work He gives us. Proverbs 16:3 calls us to commit our work to the Lord, while Proverbs 3:5 and 3:1-4 join wise living with wholehearted dependence on Him. Philippians 4:13 assures believers that Christ strengthens them for every calling, including hardship, not merely achievement. Jesus directs us in Matthew 6:25-33 to seek God’s kingdom first, trusting the Father to provide what we need. God humbles and upholds His people, as James 4:10 and Isaiah 41:10 show, and His good purposes remain sure even through trials (Jeremiah 29:11).
