What does the Bible say about taking care of gods temple?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that God’s temple is holy and should be honored through reverent worship, obedient living, and faithful care for the people in whom He dwells. Under the old covenant, God commanded Israel to prepare a sanctuary for His presence and called for holiness among those who served Him (Exodus 25:8; 1 Kings 6:11-14). In Christ, the church is God’s dwelling place, built together as a holy temple (Ephesians 2:21-22; 1 Peter 2:5). Believers also belong to God bodily and spiritually, having been bought by Christ’s blood, so they are to glorify Him in their bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 12:1). This care flows from gratitude for grace, not an effort to earn salvation.
