What does the Bible say about teaching others?

The Bible teaches that believers are to pass on God’s truth faithfully, humbly, and lovingly, trusting the Lord to use his Word to save, strengthen, and restore others. Jesus commissions his church to make disciples, teaching them to obey all he commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). Mature Christians should entrust sound doctrine to faithful people who can teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2), while remembering that teachers face stricter judgment (James 3:1).
