The Bible teaches that the cross of Jesus Christ is God’s decisive act of saving sinners, displaying both His holy justice and His redeeming love. Christ bore our sins in His body, satisfying the debt against us and reconciling us to God (1 Peter 2:24; Colossians 2:14; 1 John 2:2).
