  • Isaiah 8:12-13

[12] Don't you say, "A conspiracy!" concerning all about which this people shall say, "A conspiracy!" neither fear their fear, nor be in dread [of it]. [13] Yahweh of hosts, him shall you sanctify; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

  • Jude 1:4

For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.

  • Revelation 13:1-18

[1] Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names. [2] The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. [3] One of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast. [4] They worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" [5] A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him. [6] He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, those who dwell in heaven. [7] It was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him. [8] All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed. [9] If anyone has an ear, let him hear. [10] If anyone has captivity, he will go. If anyone is with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints. [11] I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. [12] He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. [13] He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people. [14] He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived. [15] It was given to him to give breath to it, to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn't worship the image of the beast to be killed. [16] He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; [17] and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.

  • Daniel 7:24

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.

  • Revelation 14:1-20

[1] I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a number, one hundred forty-four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads. [2] I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of a great thunder. The sound which I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps. [3] They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth. [4] These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. [5] In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless. [6] I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal Gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, tribe, language, and people. [7] He said with a loud voice, "Fear the Lord, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!" [8] Another, a second angel, followed, saying, "Babylon the great has fallen, which has made all the nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality." [9] Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand, [10] he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. [11] The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. [12] Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." [13] I heard the voice from heaven saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them." [14] I looked, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud one sitting like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. [15] Another angel came out from the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, "Send forth your sickle, and reap; for the hour to reap has come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe!" [16] He who sat on the cloud thrust his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. [17] Another angel came out from the temple which is in heaven. He also had a sharp sickle. [18] Another angel came out from the altar, he who has power over fire, and he called with a great voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Send forth your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for the earth's grapes are fully ripe!" [19] The angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. [20] The winepress was trodden outside of the city, and blood came out from the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, as far as one thousand six hundred stadia.

  • Daniel 11:37

Neither shall he regard the gods of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall magnify himself above all.

  • James 4:4

You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

  • Isaiah 1:1-31

[1] The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. [2] Hear, heavens, And listen, earth; for Yahweh has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against me. [3] The ox knows his owner, And the donkey his master's crib; But Israel doesn't know, My people don't consider. [4] Ah sinful nation, A people loaded with iniquity, A seed of evil-doers, Children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken Yahweh. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward. [5] Why should you be beaten more, That you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, And the whole heart faint. [6] From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it: Wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven't been closed, neither bandaged, neither soothed with oil. [7] Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land in your presence, And it is desolate, As overthrown by strangers. [8] The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, Like a hut in a field of melons, Like a besieged city. [9] Unless Yahweh of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, We would have been as Sodom; We would have been like Gomorrah. [10] Hear the word of Yahweh, you rulers of Sodom! Listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah! [11] "What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?," says Yahweh. "I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, And the fat of fed animals. I don't delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs, Or of male goats. [12] When you come to appear before me, Who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts? [13] Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; New moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can't bear with evil assemblies. [14] My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts; They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them. [15] When you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. [16] Wash yourselves, make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; Cease to do evil. [17] Learn to do well. Seek justice, Relieve the oppressed, Judge the fatherless, Plead for the widow." [18] "Come now, and let us reason together," says Yahweh: "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [19] If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; [20] But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; For the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it." [21] How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice; righteousness lodged in her, But now murderers. [22] Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. [23] Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards. They don't judge the fatherless, Neither does the cause of the widow come to them. [24] Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, The Mighty One of Israel, says: "Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, And avenge myself of my enemies; [25] And I will turn my hand on you, Thoroughly purge away your dross, And will take away all your tin. [26] I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called 'The city of righteousness, A faithful town.' [27] Zion shall be redeemed with justice, And her converts with righteousness. [28] But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, And those who forsake Yahweh shall be consumed. [29] For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, And you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen. [30] For you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, And as a garden that has no water. [31] The strong will be like tinder, And his work like a spark. They will both burn together, And no one will quench them."

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28

[1] But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. [2] For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. [3] For when they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape. [4] But you, brothers, aren't in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. [5] You are all children of light, and children of the day. We don't belong to the night, nor to darkness, [6] so then let's not sleep, as the rest do, but let's watch and be sober. [7] For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken are drunken in the night. [8] But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation. [9] For God didn't appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, [10] who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. [11] Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. [12] But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, [13] and to respect and honor them in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves. [14] We exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient toward all. [15] See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good, for one another, and for all. [16] Rejoice always. [17] Pray without ceasing. [18] In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. [19] Don't quench the Spirit. [20] Don't despise prophesies. [21] Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. [22] Abstain from every form of evil. [23] May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. [24] Faithful is he who calls you, who will also do it. [25] Brothers, pray for us. [26] Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. [27] I solemnly charge you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers. [28] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  • Proverbs 22:24-25

[24] Don't befriend a hot-tempered man, And don't associate with one who harbors anger: [25] Lest you learn his ways, And ensnare your soul.
