What does the Bible say about vine?

The Bible portrays the vine as a picture of God’s people, their dependence on him, and the fruitfulness he rightly seeks. Israel was a vine he planted and cared for, yet its unfaithfulness brought pruning and judgment, as Jeremiah 2:21, Isaiah 5:6, Psalms 80:8-14, and Ezekiel 17:6-10 show. Ezekiel 19:10-14 also mourns the loss that comes when covenant rebellion bears bitter fruit. In Judges 9:12-13, the vine’s wine suggests the gladness and blessing God gives.
