What does the Bible say about what does god think of divorce?

The Bible teaches that divorce grieves God because marriage is his covenantal design for one man and one woman joined faithfully for life, yet Scripture recognizes that human sin can sometimes shatter that union. Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:6 present marriage as a one-flesh bond that people should not separate. Jesus says Moses permitted divorce because of hardened hearts, not because it reflected God’s original purpose (Matthew 19:8; Deuteronomy 24:1-4).
