The Bible condemns prostitution and sexual immorality, forbids treating human sexuality as merchandise, and yet offers mercy and restoration to all who repent and trust in Christ. Deuteronomy 23:18 prohibits bringing earnings from prostitution into the Lord’s house as an offering, showing that God cannot be honored through sin or by attempting to purchase His favor. Scripture also uses prostitution as a picture of spiritual unfaithfulness, especially idolatry and covenant-breaking. At the same time, the gospel does not place any sinner beyond grace: Christ receives the repentant, forgives freely, and calls His people into holiness.
