The Bible teaches that believers need not be ruled by worry, because the sovereign and caring God invites them to trust him with every need and fear. Philippians 4:6-7 calls Christians to pray with thanksgiving, trusting God’s peace to guard their hearts and minds. Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:25-34 that the Father knows what his children need and urges them to seek first his kingdom. First Peter 5:7 and Psalm 55:22 bid us cast our anxieties on the Lord, who cares for us and sustains us. Though troubles remain, Christ gives peace, strength, and rest to those who come to him.
