What does the Bible say about worship in church?

The Bible teaches that the gathered church should worship God with reverence, joy, gratitude, truth, and wholehearted devotion through Christ. Jesus says true worshipers worship the Father in spirit and truth (John 4:23), while Hebrews 10:25 calls believers not to neglect meeting together but to encourage one another.
