What does the Bible say about celebrating life?

The Bible teaches that life is God’s gracious gift, to be received with thankful joy, lived before him, and fulfilled in Christ through the hope of eternal life. The Psalms call God’s people to rejoice, sing, and give thanks, for he is good and makes known the path of life (Psalms 16:11; 98:4; 100:1-5; 118:24). Even amid sorrow, believers may hope in God’s steadfast love and daily mercies (Lamentations 3:21-25; Proverbs 15:15). Above all, Jesus gives life that death cannot overcome: whoever believes in him has eternal life and need not fear judgment (John 3:16; 5:24; 14:1-3). Through repentance, faith, and the promised Holy Spirit, Christians celebrate God’s renewing grace (Acts 2:38-39).
