What does the Bible say about character of saints?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that saints are God’s called and redeemed people, marked by humble faith, holy conduct, courage, and loyal devotion to Christ. They hear and follow the Good Shepherd, who knows them and leads them safely, as John 10:3-4 declares. Though imperfect in themselves, believers are to shine blamelessly in a crooked world (Philippians 2:15), trust the Lord rather than fear the wicked (Proverbs 28:1), and honor rightful authority (Romans 13:3). God especially receives the humble and contrite (Isaiah 57:15; Isaiah 66:2). Saints are also identified by reverence, good testimony, love for fellow believers, and perseverance with Christ, the Lamb who conquers (Acts 22:12; Revelation 17:14).
