The Bible teaches that demonic opposition is real, but Christ reigns supreme and believers need not live in fear. Scripture describes our struggle as spiritual, calling Christians to put on God’s armor, resist the devil, remain sober and watchful, and refuse to give evil a foothold (Ephesians 6:11-12; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8; Ephesians 4:27). Jesus displayed authority over Satan and demons, bringing liberty to the oppressed (Luke 4:18; Luke 10:19; Matthew 12:22). Yet deliverance rests not in techniques or human strength, but in union with Christ: the One in believers is greater than the one in the world (1 John 4:4).
