The Bible teaches that believers, saved by God’s gracious love, are called to seek the good of others in practical, humble, and loving service. Galatians 6:10 urges us to do good to all, especially to fellow believers, while Philippians 2:4 calls us to consider others’ interests rather than living selfishly. Jesus gives the guiding rule in Luke 6:31: treat others as we would want to be treated. Hebrews 13:16 and Acts 20:35 remind us that generosity and sharing please God, for it is more blessed to give than to receive. Yet service without love is empty, as 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 teaches.
