What does the Bible say about eternal security?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that those whom God saves through faith in Christ are kept by his grace and will not finally be lost. Jesus promises that his sheep hear his voice, receive eternal life, and cannot be snatched from his hand or the Father's hand (John 10:27-29; John 10:28). He will receive all whom the Father gives him and lose none of them (John 6:37), while believers have passed from death to life (John 5:24). Christ's once-for-all sacrifice truly sanctifies his people (Hebrews 10:10), and God's gifts and calling are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Nothing can separate believers from God's love in Christ (Romans 8:38-39), for he is able to keep them and present them blameless (Jude 1:24-25).
